death of a poet – part 3 (union of love and misery)

i stood against my grave,
listening for the songs i have made,
the memories of what we once had.
i lost them all forever.
although i kept them inside me,
my tears wiped them down.

i walked towards the light,
and all i saw was your face.
the tunnel they say,
brought me to the place
where i once met you.

nobody will understand
the love that we shared.
nobody will accept the fact,
that it is meant to be you and me.

and now i stood against my grave,
you’re far away for far too long,
the misery i have, and the love you gave,
they’ll be one in me.
i love you. i do.

somehow.
hopefully.
